What is USB Debugging in Android

The “Development options” that we recently revealed the most interesting are “hidden” options on our Android devices that contain some more advanced options for users harder. They are not determinant, but interesting at least.

Especially today we talk about a function that perhaps is not being used much currently but still useful: USB debugging. Mainly used to facilitate the connection between our PC and our device and in somewhat more outdated situations help the roaming of thousands of devices. But few people know what it is and what exactly?

Define: USB Debugging

USB debugging, on paper, has a definition as simple as it is useful. It is an option that, when developing an application, the connection detects failures or weakness of connection to the computer and solves them causing a connection more aggressive and more secure. USB debugging executes the code to debug errors and thus test the application that we are developing through the USB cable, maintaining a fixed connection and total.

A priori may seem complicated, but the simple translation is that it is a tool for application development and prevent any glitches it may have. We usually use it so that our PC can recognize our Android, and flash a recovery because flashing a zip we have it done.

Okay, but what’s the use?

Well, as I said, the router is no longer a differential, since it flashed with the recovery. But it does have many uses. The most universal are to get our PC to recognize our Android. Another indispensable is if we want to put a stop to the world of custom ROMs we should flash a recovery or unlock the bootloader.

Not that many people use it, but it is a very useful option today. Perhaps it is not something transcendental, but it is still a Swiss knife for many developers. Without a doubt, something that characterizes our preferred operating system against the competition giving a vote of confidence to its users.
