Like every year at the Palexpo of the Geneva Motor Show (March 9 to 19, 2017), Ferrari will be in a good position to present its novelty. The 87th edition of the Swiss event will highlight the 812 Superfast (photo), powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine developing 800 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 718 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm!
Developed from the already radical F12berlinetta, the Italian pays tribute to the 500 Superfast of the mid-1960s, which was dedicated to the American market. As at the time, the block was realigned, starting here from the first displacement of 6.3 liters. The manufacturer also highlights the 12-cylinder V, which marked the history of the Cheval Cabré from the beginning in 1947.
This Ferrari 812 Superfast is presented as “the new benchmark in the front-center sports car segment.” Check out the photos of the Ferrari 812 Superfast (2017).
On the performance side, exercise from 0 to 100 km / h takes only 2.9 seconds, as for the F12tdf, and the top speed exceeds the 340 km / h. The Maranello brand has grafted for the first time the EPS (electric power steering) system and the steering system of second generation rear wheel steering (PCV). It also learned that the exhaust tone would be more impressive and that the dual clutch transmission has specific speed ratios with shorter transit times.
