Romero Britto may not be very famous in Brazil, birthplace, but he is a hit abroad. This success is such, that Samsung decided to launch official covers for their new smartphones (Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge) and, well, have the expensive engravings created by the Brazilian and xing-ling . Yeah, that’s right.
The problem is not in art created for the covers, but the look was employed by placing a transparent case and a figure that – in my view – seem to be any cover xing-ling you find in any shop of fake covers, scattered in every city. There is a sense of something of art, wealth or feeling that this cover is really unique, amazing and you spent more than three digits of your credit card to buy.
But, Can the art of Britto improve ?
Look, I see something like strip transparency and a matte painting. I thought of something like leaving a good living color (which is one of the pillars of the Brazilian creations) across smartphone protection and put some cool design in the background. Have “Love” in vivid and transparency in the background makes me think it’s a cape $ 15, not $ 150 Original Cover Samsung without any artist signing or drawing, costs US $ 110 or so and versions that cover most of the smartphone easily pass the $ 200 mark.
We do not have this set up Britto in Brazil for the smartphone, but you can believe that it would cost much more than that (after all, the signature of any artist worth enough).
