MaxxMEM2 : Measure the performance of your RAM

On this day we begin a series of articles that we will publish on a regular basis where you will have all the information necessary to measure all aspects of your computer . Gradually we will see useful applications with which you know for sure the capacity and power of your computer, beyond what is stated in the technical specifications of the product you purchased.

Ram

Kicking off this series of articles, we’ll start talking about MaxxMEM2 , a simple application but just show us the data we need in relation to the performance of our RAM, no more, no less.

Once downloaded the application, the first thing we see is its extreme simplicity, in fact do not need to install the application to make it work , simply run it and you are fully available.

MaxxMEM2 provides some basic option but are not of great interest because its main function is a measurement of our RAM and it has a button called Start Benchmark as soon as you press start with the analysis.

Once the study is completed, the application will show the following results:

  • Time spent on analysis.
  • Capacity backup RAM, expressed in MByte per second.
  • Readability of RAM, expressed in MByte per second.
  • Writable RAM, expressed in MByte per second.
  • Score achieved, expressed in GB per second.

Besides this, in the final table it is expressed amarilo color, tells us what the RAM latency, expressed in nanoseconds and what is the score achieved in latency, also expressed in nanoseconds.

The application did not just give the data of the study conducted, also provide important information about our microprocessor, operating system and of course on the RAM we have installed in our computer, indicating make, model, memory type, frequency and quantity.

We encourage you to try this great application with which you can check the technical data specified by the manufacturer corresponds to your measurements.
